There is a way to actually farm somber smithing dragon stone in the dlc?

I don’t think so. You can speed run the base game few times while collecting the final stones. I ended up with like 50 somber and over 70 of regular ones.
I treat reaching ng+7 as part of 100% the game.

yeh its unfortunate but no. unless you replay the game on NG+ runs you can only get a limited number and will only be able to farm the rest to level 9 or 24

be nice if there was a end game bell-bearing that made them purchasable

DS2 had final stones farmable but it killed for me any incentive to do ng+ runs.
DS1 also had the farmable but so insanely slow that ng+ runs felt faster.

I like how it is now as it make the final stones more valuable.

just use wemod and have unlimited items. granted you wont be able to play online because wemod will trigger the EAC.
