Should I Get The Game?
With the summer sale currently ongoing, I’m curious as to whether I should jump at the opportunity to get the game or not, considering this’ll be my first souls game and that my friend(whose first souls game was Elden Ring) recommended it to me.

its an open world arpg with a learning curve a bit stronger then you might be used to, i think it is an excellent entry into the style of Fromsoft games, personally.

it is very easy to go in a random direction and die to something tough, and thats part of the fun.

I second this. Maybe watch some starter build videos to kind of walk you through it at first then take it from there. You will love it. Can't recommend it enough

im of the opinion to go in blind for a while before resorting to this stuff, but thats personal preference in the end, whatever works for you.

if nothing else: its a long game, i got 44 hours my first playthrough but a)i am faster then most, even on a bad day, and b)i missed a good amount, but that was how long it took me to get all the story related stuff and win.

Short answer: yes
Long answer: get bloodborne

Gotta spend way more money for bloodborne so it’s Elden Ring then, lol, thanks fellas.

bloodborne is $10

Ignore anyone that tells you to watch videos on this game. You should absolutely play blind and just have fun with it.

Two hours is enough to give you an idea of what it's like.

Your primary weapon in this game is "knowledge". The more you play blind without looking things up, the harder it's going to be.

Its hard to say, like some popular FPS games have massive players but I hardly can get myself into them.

Def get this one it gives you a lot content for the price. don't watch anything and play it blind, this is the best playthrough

This is not MMO, so there is no periods when season ends and it's too late to enter for having fun, so you can start playing now from the beginning with no problems.
But don't buy DLC with game, try the game itself, to enter DLC you have to beat the game first.

I don’t have a PS4 controller, although if you do have suggestions for emulating it on a laptop then go ahead.

Well, what do you feel? do you feel like getting the game? do you "want" the game? especially since your friend recommended to you? Do you want it/want to play it? or is there something else you rather get?

I heard it's more "casual friendly" so, that's probably why. But since it is also your friends first Souls game, that plays a big part too. Would he feel the same if he played Dark/Demon souls or Bloodborne first and then Elden Ring?

I'm gonna get it (more curious to see if I can even run it, no Demo which is lame) and if I can, I'll play it for a bit. Gonna take advantage of the sale. This thing takes forever to go on sale so, get it now or wait a good long time for another sale.

Tough question to give a good answer for. Need to know more about what your system specs are to even say if it will run well enough. In addition, it would be good to know what your 'Rage Quit' level of patience is.

If you have never played a Souls or Souls-Like game before (and want to try one), this is a fantastic one to be your first entry. :)

Highly recommended.
