but for real he rly have a good windows for even heavy atacks.
his ult look busted as well but can be dojed by just feeling when to doje for sure since i remember that he hited me with this only once
just remember to *tap* roll button :D some times im geting so hard in to the game that can not even understand that im holding it too long and that making me hit or roll kinda late
I played on a dex character so I don't know much about the shield thing, but if I had to guess id say because of his size, his attacks are going over you and hitting your back hitbox. I'm not really sure what would solve that problem if that's the case, aside from trying really hard to stay towards the back of his legs when you attack so your shield is always facing his whole body and he (hopefully) can't turn enough to attack over you and hit your back anymore.
With most fights in this DLC because of the camera thing, I just stopped locking on unless the enemy started flying, so if locking on and off constantly in the fight is something you can handle, it could help.
I eventually got it despite the issues, just really frustrating. Winning fights like that doesn't make me feel "good", it makes me feel "thank !#@$ that BS is over".
Other than that, he took some time to learn but didn't seem to even be close to the top contenders for difficult bosses. Have some bosses left but commander Gaius is my current top contender.
I've gotten hit by that thing so many times I just gave up trying to not get hit and assumed it's supposed to be cheap and hit you no matter what. He does it at the start of the fight and no matter how fast you take off sideways a little piece of it will shoot off to the side and hit you. I was just like welp, guess you're suppose to start the fight off with 60% hp.
This.
I had to stop myself from killing him because I was afraid I would advance or ruin some quest, cause I had gotten their so early in the playthrough.
