Frost is pretty good in the dlc

i've met like 1 or 2 bosses that has managed to pretty much nullify the effects of frost/cold but imo i feel like the element holds out pretty well overall. Heck i even managed to defeat the final dlc boss with the help of it.

Frostbite is a great overall debuff, which is why I'm strongly considering making a build based around it when I play this game again.

Frost is good for that chunk damage, but since bosses don't have stamina, it's pretty useless outside of that.

i heard the zamor curved sword got a buff in the recent patch making it faster and have bigger range. give it a spin

I believe all the bosses in the DLC are weak to frost, assuming you can make use out of the debuff which can be pretty hard

It's a cool looking sword, too. I haven't tried it yet but I have it. I used to really like Hoarfrost Stomp even after the nerf because you could get rid of a lot of trash mobs with it, though maybe the Divine Beast Frost Stomp is better now for that.
