The new deflecting hard tear mechanic is so good it should be a constant mechanic in future soulslikes.
That's all I wanted to say, I want to be able to do this always.

it is very good, yes. Really wish it had been at least a talisman instead of a 5 min buff.
There's already a mod to just make it permanent, but of course if you want to use that you have to play offline.

I already platinumed Sekiro. And I like it more here because of the build variety.

100% agreed. I honestly feel like it exposed the glaring issues with ER design philosophy. Bosses feel so much more fun to fight when you have deflect. Being able to quickly go from deflect to roll or vice versa makes the combo spam more tolerable, and guard counters makes the tiny pause between combos somewhat bearable.

should be rewarded for defeating the first tree sentinel instead of being dlc locked, or at the very least obtainable in limgrave

too much of a gamechanger to be so "late" game
