Radahn has beaten me
In game and mentally IRL, respecced 3 times, tried multiple different strategies, no ♥♥♥♥♥ chance to win against this clown, you have no time do decide between his attacks, you cannot heal, you cannot punish him with more than light attack, you go full tank and you can only block with 2 possible punishments with 2 of his attacks that give you enough time to punish when dodged. It's riddiculous, unfair. Idgaf, uninstalled, not attempting till patched, if not patched, then fk it, I aint losing my mind over dumb boss.

PS. if you're putting your sign just to die in first minute of fight or to just sit in the corner, just dont, dont waste your own time and hosts time and summon items.

Update* I did beat this piece of garbage, sadly it's relief, not happiness. I really, really didn't enjoy this boss and I know I wont be attempting him in the future if FromSoft wont adjust him a little bit. Thanks for encouraging me and your faith lads <3

Edit 2. For other people struggling

My win build was -

Veteran set, +24 fingerprint shield, +24 mogh spear, elixir - both for all dmg mitigation, talismans - turtle, greatshield, golden braid, and the other one that gives you more stamina - you can exchange it for talisman increasing bleed dmg or shard of alexander.
Cannot remember stats as I already started NG+ with Rellana set and swords but more or less I put all my points (I was around 190 lvl) into:

Vigor - 60
Endurance - 40
Strenght - 60 or 80
arcane - 40

+ of course mimic tear, got him pretty easly with this build, helped a couple of people beat him too aswell.

Bros gone insane. Let me part you some wisdom as someone WHO beat Radahn. I'm rune level 150 btw.

His first phase; Wait a second before buffing/summoning as he MAY do a gap-closing attack. If you do this too late as he does his attack, your hit.

His attacks are a mix of delayed moves from one sword to the other. I highly recommend you invest into blocking weapon/shield, I beat him with 68 shield stability and pokes.

Btw, try poking him. I never used shields in Elden ring beyond parrying so I had to learn on the fly in the fight. When he does his cross-guard, swords together 1 hit move that typically has an earthquake behind it. Shield poke that. A lot of his moves can be dodged, you gotta learn when to shield poke his biggest moves.

Second phase;
Keep long range, bait out the nuke spell and run as fast as you can directly straight and opposite from it. If you feel like your gonna get hit, aim your block to Radahn.

A lot of his new gap-closing moves can be avoided by aiming to the side and rolling in that direction.

His flurry of dual-wield blows can be dealt eaiser by strafing to his side with your guard up. Tanking these DLC bosses is the way to go, but sometime you can tank too much and wipe out. You've got to block some stuff and roll the other stuff to maintain stamina and health.

Overall;
Get a spirit summon (not a player), decent shield, Something to poke with, Physical absorbtion close to 68%, you can use anti-holy damage buffs though I didn't need it. I Get that one tailsman to boost estus heals.

Keep fighting my I won after 30 ish deaths with my cool ass Ranni Knight guy. (Strength & Int)

Basically, everyone is using the same cheese. Use a great shield or become a streamer.
Mitigate the damage from the attacks you struggle to dodge to the best extent you can.

Parry his melee attacks. Most of them can be parried.

Crit him.

I beat him using holy damage, lol.
I beat him by respeccing into 80 Arc and using +25 Bloodfiend's Arm (Blood affinity, procs in 2 heavy hits) + Mimic tear.
the best advice i can give honestly is to just turn around and go explore someplace else.

I was having a hard time with this boss and decided hes a "come back later" boss. Just like i did in the base game with some of them. So, I instead looked at the minimap and tried to decipher if there was any place in the last castle i was in that i forgot to check out. Turned out I had, and ended up in an entirely new open world section of the map and i ended up in eastern part.

This game more than any other game by this company allows for you to go back and find stuff to come back to the boss with.
when in doubt, shield + poke cheese. If you're going BACK to the DLC for a 2nd time, my personal favorite strategy is not going to the final boss!

Just so I understand: is there are Radahn in the DLC too?
your're going to love one of the later bosses of the endgame

Yes there is, so I'm sorry if that has now been spoilt for you.

Don't worry about it. I don't mind. (And thanks for your answer.)

I was going through the same aggravation, but then I learned he's susceptible to scarlet rot. Go kill a dragon, take it's heart to the dragon cathedral in Caelid, get the rotten breath spell, and go infect him! It takes a couple of applications, but I only had to cast a few other spells, and pop a few pots before he was dead. Just keep riding!

Max scadutree blessing level is 20. If you haven't hit that, you might want to go explore more until you do. While you're at it, there's a golden braid talisman that cuts down on the phase 2 damage by quite a bit.

I ended with Scadutree blessings +16 - was 15 when fighting radahn. When I respecced I went for golden braid talisman aswell, with fingerprint shield +24 and mogh spear +24 and mimic I've killed him in second attempt. Gross fight, never coming back to him unless he'll get some adjustments like more windows to punish his combos - he just almost never stops wiggling the noodles at the player ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
i just beat radahn in 90 minutes (of dying contantly) with base vigor and a big wooden stick

3 guys with greatshields and poking weapons does it. Most of the summons for Radahn have been switching to tank build, that is if you want to just this thing over and DLC chapter closed. There is always a chance to do it all over again. At this point killing him "unfairly" is better than getting PTSD from a freakin' game expansion.

Exactly man, thats exactly what I did, put this expansion behind and prolly will avoid it in the future (tho I really enjoyed fighting messmer, would love to come back to him but collecting scadutree blessings again discencourage me a lot - if however in ng+ i still have the same amount I had before I started new journey I will be definately coming back for couple of bosses). I love the base game, in DLC I enjoyed like 2-3 bossess...
Beat Redahn using a holy build. I had 40 vigor. He's resistant to holy. No summons.

I swapped to using Golden Parry, and put on talismans for holy/phys mitigation and crit benefits.

Took around an hour to mostly master his move set. Not sure how to dodge two of his attacks 'fully' but I could mitigate them enough to the point the fight was entirely surmountable.

If I go back at some point, I'll kill him with agility bleed build.

To be honest, not my favourite boss, but I found the parry approach a lot more rewarding and satisfying. Felt like I was trading attacks with him quite a bit. Not a fan, but he's not overtuned, especially not for the final of final bosses this game is ever going to have.

probably at Sacdutree blessing +2

oh yeah, I am a dumb c.u.n.t and I didnt collect them... I definately ignored core mechanic of levelling up in the expansion, sure I did. Just like you didn't even bother to read a couple of comments in which I mentioned like 3 times that I was at +15 blessings.
