What moves you havin trouble with?
Most of them. Maybe my reaction times just suck or im just mistiming my attacks. Biggest one that gets me is the follow up slam after you get pulled in and the boulder rain. I've seen phase two once and died to a non stop barrage of attack chains.
I also didn't mention I can't really keep taking breaks. I have been for like most of the last few days due to be tired from work. But a new DLC for something comes out tomorrow too and I promised my friend I'd do that with them instead of this. I know I know it'll be here afterwards but I already feel that I failed in not beating this entire DLC before any changes (people on these forums aren't helping) and if I still can't beat it after a week? On a build that thoroughly rolled the base game? Guess I just suck.
Never said I was. You're making a lot of assumptions. Were you the child who left the clown reaction? Grow up. Some of us have lives that are stressful enough already without people projecting their insecurities by guilt tripping over a video game.
Problem is with me and souls I kinda dont want to change entire builds just to beat a boss. I want to figure out how to make my current one work. Feel I can learn more than way than just swapping to bleed or heavy armor and a greatsword.
I haven't found a way to dodge the follow up after the suck, BUT if you jump the suck he doesn't even do the follow up. So now you can avoid that.
So holy damage might be what's killing you, do you have the Golden Braid Talisman? Reduces holy damage, Dragoncrest would be good too if you're gettin hit by swords.
Opaline Physick with those and you really don't take much damage. His meteor you can just avoid by running towards a diagonal wall near the entrance.
He seemed weak to piercing damage, so I used Rakasha's Great Katana and killed him almost only doing a charged R2 after I was sure he finished his strings. You can get it after long strings, after Lion's Claw, wait a second and see if he does a second one tho.
the only thing we much care for is A) beating last boss at all at any point, B) not beating the last boss, and C) beating the last boss with an arm tied behind your back
If you can slap on a greatshield it trivializes most of phase one. Which is lame, but so is the fight, so screw em.
You may want to take a break though. Most of the bosses in this DLC are really poorly implemented, between the camera just not being able to handle the fight for various reasons, or the bosses having nonsensical slide to their attacks that makes Lords of the Fallen attacks look tame by comparison, and the first phase of the final fight is one of the only 3 bosses in this entire DLC that I just thought was "good". If you are getting annoyed with him now, you should take a break and refresh because his second phase a literal visual migraine and you won't be able to see any of whats happening due to the seizure inducing amount of lights, and literally nothing is fun about fighting a strobe-light with a boss hidden somewhere in it, so you will be absolutely miserable if you try to fight it now in the mental state your are in.
2 days ago I wanted to tear my hair out due to the boss, died over 10 times.
Slept on it, summoned one dude to help me out ,and won the fight on the 3rd attempt.
