More wouldn't make sense, when the SotE Edition is at 80 undiscounted.
Base + DLC = 42 + 40 -> 82
SotE = 80

Base game was at 36 during chrismas...

yeah i don't mind buying the game 5 years later for a good discount

Its a very generous discount considering dlc just out.
They could have put it on no discount and still sold a tonne of copies.

Have this game in my wishlist for God knows how long waiting for that juicy discount to get it. Not my type of game in general, never got far with Dark Souls for example. But hearing so many good things about Elden Ring it still pulls me towards it somehow and I want to at least try it at some point. But I guess game is so successful, that counting on good discount will keep me waiting another couple of years. :)

yeah, they assume we poor just because we wait on discounts but i have stuff with higher priority than a video game that i will get bored from in few weeks...

I agree, they should do %40 on both summer and winter. But it's Bandai Namco man, they even got greedy with the lazy Dark Souls 1 remaster overpricing it.
