St. Trina is...
Miquella? I don't understand. Miquellas flesh was dead in mohgwyns palace right? Why is St. Trina alive sleeping in that cave until we kill miquella at the end?

Demi-Gods are semi-spiritual beings. I would try not to think about the physicality of it too much. Its a bit like how, even when first meeting her, Melina said she was "Burned and bodyless", she couldn't move freely without you taking her to the erdtree, until she got there. I think Miquella is in a similar state (considering both are children of Marika), but can still sacrifice parts of his being. He doesn't just abandon his flesh, but abstract concepts like fears and doubts, and his "love". The cross before we find St. Trina says "I abandon here my love". I believe St. Trina is his love, taken on a different persona just like Marika/Radagon.

We have to wait for Vaati or Smoughtown to explain it to us. Except the part with the land of shadows is the place where souls get transported when they die in the lands between.. I didnt understand that much.

I just loled when I saw Miquella alive in flesh hugging Radahn as a physical being after he abandoned everything besides his hair.

I am counting on the Loreweavers of youtube to dig deep myself. Finding it hard to search through my inventory to find new items to read descriptions of. The [!] that's supposed to be with new items is not working for me or I'm missing it or something. Trying to read as much as I can but just just like with the base game sometimes I just miss things. Not to mention the environmental and placement stuff people are going to tear apart.

ok yeah that makes a lot of sense ngl
There's this whole concept of spirits in Elden Ring right. Torrent is a "Spectral steed" but we physically ride him. Torrent gets upgraded along with all our spirit ashes when using "Revered spirit ashes" in the dlc. Miquella is heavily associated with Torrent and is seen in the first promo art riding him in the land of shadow, which must have been post Mohging.
We also got no lore regarding Torrent and Miquella as far as I know. From a lore perspective, which is the main reason I played the DLC tbh, it was quite underwhelming.

Yeah making the world gentler place after being a manipulative piece of ♥♥♥♥ literally forcing radahn into mohg to be his b1tch lol.
I read an item description yday after beating the final boss (can't remember which one) and I remember it implying that Radahn was the one person Miquella couldn't embrace or enchant, which is why he chose him as his consort iirc.

Why wasn't our tarnished affected by miquellas first enchantment but in the fight he does it and it works apparently?

I don't care for the lore of these games, but here.

I just looked up the Elden Ring family tree and have a question…

Is Radahn gay? Just curious. Not to offend anyone.

Consort is always refering about two (peoples/things) sharing something together.

it can be spouses (Queen/Prince consort)
it can be two peoples who are not spouses (exceendingly rare)
it can be entities (Vessels/Ships)

Vessel can be subject to interpretation here (especially here i will say)

What you choose to believe is up to you.

Unclear? He might have been in love with Miquella or he might not have but Miquella was certainly in love with Radahn

Mohg is clearly the victim here.

Weirdly enough, yeah kinda

I mean the base game made it seem liked Mohg was an obsessed nut who thought he could kidnap Miquella and force him to love him but it seems like Miquella specifically tricked Mohg in to all this just so he could kill Mohg and put Radahn in his body in his bid for step-brother yaoi fanfiction/godhood

or you could just read the in game lore and not let some youtuber make things up for you. vatti and smoughtown are just normal players like everyone else, can't stand how people are so willing to get on their knees and just accept everything they say as gospel

That was not on my Elden Ring DLC bingo list.

You gotta watch those femboys, they're sneaky like that.

But nah, I was not expecting Miquella to be a secret villain. I was thinking we'd be rescuing him and maybe get a new ending or something? I really expected a fight against Godwyn to be honest.

To be honest, the DLC really messed with my perceptions of multiple people.

To start with, the arena you fight Radahn in the base game, outside of Redmane castle, is directly above Mohg's realm if you check the map. That's originally why I thought Malenia went after Radahn - she went to go retrieve her brother, but it was a case of right place, wrong elevation basically.

Now that I've finished the DLC and thought about it a bit more, Miquella was well-known for manipulating people to get what he wants, shown in multiple ways.

So, it wasn't outside of his power or usual tactics to somehow convince Mogh to kidnap him from the Haligtree by using his Miquellove powers on him, and then wait for Radahn for finally get a Tarnished-related fatality so his soul could be captured. Miquella then ditches his physical form (since he's a demigod, this is like dropping a cloak for him), and goes to the Realm of Shadow.

In the RoS, he then discards all the parts of himself he thinks holds him back from becoming a god (even his St. Trina aspect), choosing Radahn as weapon-arm/"consort" to lay down the law on disbelievers after he ascends.

I've been really trying to find ways to at least not see his actions as that of someone who thinks of everyone else, even his own twin sister, as chess pieces to move for his own ends. But... let's say the scoreboard so far as I'm seeing it isn't great.

Yeah I thought Miquella was like.. a secret hero and maybe we'd get a new ending where he ascends as god and fixes the world but it turns out literally everything that happened was secretly his fault because he's a manipulative lil ♥♥♥♥.

Exactly. I thought he made the Haligtree as a sanctuary for the dispossessed, showing him as a tragic hero - but it's looking more and more like the Haligtree was both a practice run and a lab for him instead.
