Should I level up past 150?
Back in the old days I remember 150 being the ideal level where everyone would stop so everyone could Pvp fairly right outside Pontiff's boss arena. I don't like the pvp in this game nearly as much as I did in DS3 so I won't be doing much of it if any. So basically should I keep leveling up? Is there any reason to stop?

If you dont PVP then dont worry about it. People stop at 150 because that seems to be the unofficial level for people to put builds together to fight each other.

I entered Erdtree at 175 and am currently 184. No regrets. I am at Blessing 7 and its only difficult when I am facing something that counters my beastclaw bleed build or when I am somewhere I shouldn't be yet, but I feel being the level I am at does have some say, as in general, nothing has been extremely rough yet.

I used to stay at 150 but now I have leveled upp a bit more because I need more stamina and vigor. But I beat my old record in losing runes the other day: somewhere betweeen 1-2 miljon lost. And I dont care about it. I will proabably stay at about 170 now. So far there are lots of players in the same range.

I'm going to take a guess here, but something tells me there are going to be a lot more people at lvl 200+ than 150 this time around. Heck maybe even lvl 300+.

I did lol. Only to 160 but I may go higher just to get my FP to a better state.

Have you seen fightincowboy getting whipped at 320lvl (or thereabouts) with summons? The Scadutree Frags are what makes the difference or you ll get spanked anyway, unless you re so good you don t need any of that.

All my top characters who were capped at 150 before for PvP pve are now 200 and I am happy with that decision ! ( does not even feel like I am 200 in this dlc tbh) bosses can still crush you even with blessings .

My Lower chars will stay at 90, 60 and 30 . But 200 I find is great.

150 has always been the "casual meta".
125 for those that take the pvp more serious
139 for those looking to invade both the 125 and 150 bracket.
200 for those looking to invade very casual players
306+ for those looking for braindamage

No one in a sane mind would stop at 150 anymore, since the bulk of folks would end DLC around 200-250, it seems. Why bother with artificial limitations. :happy_yeti:

Yes, even if you start at 130 in the dlc you'll be in the range of 160-170 by the time you finish.

At 150 you'll be 180 to 190.

Either way you slice it you should be upgrading your builds for endgame content.

More levels = more defence = more opportunity. :2016bee:

you could also have a character ONLY for PVP and remain between 130-150

No I have't watched FightingCowboy in a long time, but he was pretty good at games if I remember correctly. I watched him play Sekiro a bit.

I am halfway through the DLC now with a lvl 100 character on my second playthtough and I'm killing the bosses in like one or two hits so it can be done (there is a crazy lightning perfume build that one shots bosses) and there are more than just one way to do it. I doubt many people will bother though, I am just doing it for fun.

The reason I think people will be higher levels is not only for the difficulty but it certainly has to do with it, it is because of the new weapons that require 4 different stats and so on. If you stay at 150 this time you are basically never going to be able to fully utilize some of the new weapons in the game. Either way the majority of the playerbase will be 200+ and fewer will stay at 150. Meta is decided by the number of players at a certain level, not what the pvp elites decide.
