How am I supposed to beat Rennala as a glintstone mage ?

There are melee weapons that scale with int. Or rock sling as that does physical damage.

to be fair: she does literally have 80dr to magic, and is specifically weak to most physcials.

i can see it causing issues.

as others have said though: there are plenty of int scaling weapons, or physcial damage spells you can acquire

If you specifically roleplay as glintstone mage, then probably any of blade spells are your best tool. Otherwise throw rocks at her with gravity spells.

Unless you insist using spells against her you can use
plain, standard weapon with Sacred Blade Ash of War.

If weapon has bleeding, like Morning Star, Flail or katana, even better.

Bro is talking about Rennala, not the dlc boss, why would he need scadu blessings (if that's what you meant by scudo, I know, writing is hard).

To OP - get Moonveil. Works well with mage theme and applies bleed. And it's a katana. Katana good

i used a bleed katana and the wolves as spirit summon.

Renalla is one of the very few fights that are actually harder as mage than as melee

If we are giving you the benefit of the doubt, then we are assuming you are built properly, using the right spells, and are a skilled player. That basically leaves us with you being under leveled. Leveling will decrease difficulty of all bosses in the main game. Its really that simple.

If you are properly leveled, then just lock a build in. My mage I had the Meteor staff or whatever until I got the Carian one. I ran a samurai sword I cant remember until I got the Moon-veil.

I do remember her second phase being rough when I attempted. I think you can summon for it? I think "got gud" and held my summon until the second phase and did whatever I had to do.

summon in the first phase doesnt make sense since he talks about Rennala Queen of the Full Moon from base game and not about Rellana twin moon knight from DLC

Rennala first phase is a puzzle >-< so why would you summon spirit ash on a puzzle ?

So ofc phase 1 you would never summon an ash.... i

when summoning for Renalla then you first run into her then roll to side to dodge comet azure of her. While she does the comet and you are to teh side you can safely Spirit summon

You can directly run behind her when phase 2 begins and completely negate comet d'azur, allowing for free summon and free hits afterwards.
