can’t reach mohgwyn cause snow area is inaccessible

Im ng+7, haven’t touched the game in 2 years, came back for the dlc. i find that i have beaten the game (burnt the erdtree) but didnt bother going to the snowy region before fighting the elden beast, now leyndell is destroyed and i can’t find any path to reach the lift that takes u there. i can’t access it via varre as i did his questline in my first game and is no longer available for ng+.

i wanted to ask if anybody knows whether im missing something or if i just go ng+8 to do the dlc as i am unable to reach mohg as of now

well yes but im unable to reach the lift as i said because the capital is destroyed and i dont have the grace from prior???

Just spawn in the Mountaintop of the Giants area and work your way back to the lift from there?

The capital cannot have been destroyed if you haven't gone to the mountaintops of the giants. You need to kill the fire giant in the mountaintops to get to farum azula to light the tree up and destroy the capital

well its destroyed and i dont have a grace anywhere up there, probably didnt bother to sit at one as i was boss rushing and was probably going for an ending i hadn’t gotten.
think my last choice is to just go ng+8

Mate i just refuse to believe that you didn't touch a single site of grace from morgott all the way until elden beast. Screenshot or it didnt happen

Wouldn't you have had to get the grace at the Kiln? Can you get there with Varre's quest if not?

Actually true, you cant even get to farum azula without using that site of grace and burning yourself or melina up

You HAVE to sit at the forge of giants or whatever site to burn the tree, so at minimum you should have that one. If not, then the game bugged and erased your graces for whatever reason.

Edit; as pointed above, kiln. But yeah, running all that way without using a single grace sounds kinda hardcore xD

Varre isn't at any of his locations which leads me to believe i either killed the npc or u can only do that questline once which i did it before ng.

You literally have to sit at a grace to burn the tree.
Regardless, NG+7-8 DLC will be beyond difficult.
