tips for bayle the dread?

This fight is incredibly difficult and I find myself barely able to get him down to half health. I am 7 levels into the scadu tree fragments and I am level 141.

I cannot disagree. It was such an insane fight that had my adrenaline pumping the entire time. Definitely beats out both Maliketh and Placidusax for me, both of whom were tied for my favorite fight in the base game.

Get more scads.

Finally gave up and did their stupid scavenger hunt and the boss died pretty easy solo after that @ 18 scads.

your scadu level is way too low. and 141 is also under the dlc base. 150 is the base for the dlc on normal levels and bayle is tuned for scadu 15 roughly.

-coughs- I think 150 is too high. 130-140 for the start, and 150-170 for harder more "bullet sponge" enemies. but that's me the nut job playing with level 80 characters in the dlc and just powerleveling. (be it I am gettting the fragments and ash and exploring more than fighting some tougher enemies. )

You're underleveled. Grind out around 20 to 30 more levels and the DLC will be much kinder to you.
