PC if you have good hardware. Performance mode on PS5 still has some pretty big FPS drops.

Depends on your rig. If your computer isn't up to snuff, probably get on the ps5...

PC has an issue where you controller will randomly disconnect when you're playing online. Happens the most at Fire Giant. I'd say PS5 for that alone.

If you never played a souls game I would say pc. This gives you the option that if you really like the game, but are stuck on a boss for days on end you have the option to use cheat engine.

With a console, if you are hard stuck and simply can't get past, you are out of luck.

That said though, coming in with the right expectations and know this is a game that will take you a very, very, very long time and you will need to git gud then any platform will work. Required bosses are generally easier than optional bosses.

Switched to all PC gaming because I was tired of paying for things like PS+ just to play multiplayer online. Get a controller for your PC and the experience is indistinguishable as long as you have a comfy place to play. Also the graphics on PC can go much higher if you have the PC to match (full ray tracing locked at 60 FPS, which is not even an option on PS5).

Even if your PC can't do it today, you can steadily upgrade down the line and see those gains over the years, which is not possible with PS5.

PS5 has worse fps but no stutters, PC has stutters but better fps. I have both versions and prefer the PS5 version, simply because I cant stand stutters. PVP is also miles better on console.
