Spoilers for Castle Ensis Cerulean Coast: It felt like a cruel joke when Castle Ensis dropped a Greatsword with a floating sword spell as the weapon art, and then in the Cerulean Coast, the first INT-weapon you find is... An INT katana. We already have two!!
Not in my opinion. The sorceries from the DLC feel far more impactful than the Incantations, IMO.
That said, the sorceries are all back-loaded quite badly. A lot of it revolves around the Cathedral of Manus Metyr, and Ymir's questline, and a lot of them require access to pretty hidden areas.
