Scadutree new scaling is a double edged sword
Sure, the players who didnt bother to pick fragments wont cry about rellana cutting through them like butter

HOWEVER
Now the last 4 upgrades barely do ♥♥♥♥ for you, so a player can be fooled into thinking if they are at 16-17 and struggle agains the final boss, getting the last upgrades could help them, but with the new scaling anything past 16 starts to give negligent returns.

The good part of the old system is that it was consistent, if you struggle with a boss you can gess how many upgrades you need to make the boss more balanced for you, now its really hard to know if its worth getting the last two and players may feel as if it didnt help them at all

this means there is less incentive to collect every piece, no?

sounds like a good thing. imagine trying to scour the entire map, not knowing where the stupid thing was hidden

The problem seemed to be more that people werent even trying to find them in first place.while the buff will help people a small bit more its more about incentivizing people to engage in the dlc mechanic instead of ignoring trying to collect them.
I think the % buff wont make that much difference though.Like people who refuse to learn basics against bosses are still gonna get destroyed by bosses.

i kinda like them having poise because for once is an enemy where you can have fun with ashes of war, has enough poise to resist normal attacks but not as much poise as bosses who dont let you use long combo weapon skills

I went and grabbed all 50 of them. They help but on some bosses you'll still be getting hit pretty hard. Final boss especially.

actually he got a point, you get static increase to everything when you raise the blessing level on pre-patch. On post patch, high level blessing are getting less and less bonuses everytime you increase it's level, thus making the progression much stale towards endgame.

it seems like its you who doesnt know, the progression now starts twice as fast but has a soft cap similar to all other stats, the new logarythmical scaling makes the last levels being worth considerably less than the first ones, this is not explained to the player so dont expect going from 17 to 20 will be nearly as helpful as 5 to 6
before it was a 5% each level, now the first levels are 10% and goes down to like 1.5% after level 16
