But i dont think this game is to hard.
Its really a you problem if you think it is.
But that is like... already possible?
current negative opinions stem from bad game design with multiple things to do with the DLC, so it's not a review bomb, just criticism
I, for one, don't like FIFA games. Does that mean that they should change the core-aspect of those games just to cater to me? Hell no. I just stay away from those games and play games that do cater to me.
It's as simple as that. The game itself gives you countless items to make your own "easy mode". You have spirit ashes, you can summon other people, you have TONS of weapons at your disposal, you can go around and level your character etc etc etc.
They give you all the tools you need so that even a toddler could beat it. People just dont want to use these tools cause that'd make them look "weak" or whatever.
Fromsoft is never going to add difficulty options to their game and frankly, I hope they make their games even more ruthless in the future.
Overcoming a challenge.
That's how it all started and that's what made these games blow up.
Elden Ring is already the easiest souls-like FromSoft has made so far thanks to all the tools at your disposal that can render the game trivial.
There is no need for a difficulty option. It's already in the game.
As someone whose very first Souls game was Elden Ring, I'm against adding difficulty choices for the game.
Many other people likely have or will say this, but simply using Summon Ashes during a fight can make those fights vastly easier. If you're not as comfortable with the flow of combat especially with a boss, a Summon can help quite a bit.
A strong part of the appeal for this game is overcoming adversity and difficulty. While I grant that not all players would enjoy the game as presented, I don't think that's a bad thing. A game can be good (or even great) within its genre - but it does not follow that the genre therefore has to be more broad.
Making something more broadly appealing and accessible also, by consequence, will reduce and thin out the points that make its as good as it is.
Are there flaws with Elden Ring and its DLC? Sure, everything has flaws - but those flaws would not be addressed or reduced by adding difficulty choices.
