In terms of sheer quality? Ringed City wins.
Spell wise my miracle bro got some sweet miracles and I couldnt be more happy for ER DLC
Exploration is better in ER DLC
Enemies are eee both, both are good
weapon wise both are good too,
I honestly cared the most about new incantations and I wasnt dissapointed, most of them are usable and some of them are a new meta even if some of them could use more poise for casting it like scarlet aeonia, bosses are hit or miss I feel like they are a bit overtuned but I finished the dlc before the balance patch and with scadutree lvl 14 so who the hell knows
with that said I will start another dlc playtrough today this time with magic bro and will collect all scadutree possible and see how different it will be
Erdtree is better but, don't know much about the story as i always find the lore too convoluted. Map design being as beautiful and big as it is i think its too hard to easily find your way around. Also the bosses are more past being 'hard and enjoyable' too just garbage difficulty.. not a popular opinion but whatever. I do love the size and the enemies added and especially the new weapons etc added.
Gael and midir alone redeemed the entire dlc. Midir had that 2 hit instakill truckload of health thing everyone is now complaining about.
Dont know how fromsoft can go from perfect dragon fights like the midir one to dogwater elden ring ones. I was always fighting midir head on, because he always turned to face me, and backed away when I tried to run under his belly, like a realistic animal. The elden ring ones feel like puppets. I never see their heads, only their legs.
Those as far as digestibility, the map structure of ds3 is far superior, in my opinion.
The open-world in Elden Ring, doesn't work at all.
