DLC final boss is so stupid
Is this supposed to be funny or something? Should I be laughing?
I'm rocking HP regen + golden vow + tank armor w/greatshield + a +25 weapon with frost/bleed/5%HP heal on hit + boiled crab + mimic tear with all of the above + Ansbach summon (procs bleed and super tanky) + scadu lvl 20 + godrick's great rune + physick flask with crimson bubble and opaline hardtear + >60% dmg negation across the board at rune lvl 190 with 50 vigor and STILL this garbage is impossible.

Like first you torture us with a 1v5 NPC gang fight, which is balanced around the idea that you finish these super obscure NPC quests that either just don't work or lock out at certain unmarked points (I finished freyja's, ansbach's, and thiollier's quests before burning the tree, only got ansbach as a summon for some reason), and then this final fight? Against Mr. Flashbang Combo Man? Who playtested this?
At this point I don't even think I'll be satisfied when I beat him, I'll just be glad it's over, and that's not a good thing to feel as a player. This DLC has been amazing, please don't ruin it with another overtuned final boss.

I screwed up the NPC quests so I couldn't summon them. I had mimic, fingerprint shield, ant spur rapier, the golden braid talisman, the new pearldrake talisman, two headed turtle and the flask boosting talisman. I was able to beat him at scadu level 17. Character level was 200. The scarlet rot from antspur chunked him.

Yeah i agree the final boss of the dlc is a complete joke. Phase 1 of the fight is completely fine but Phase 2 is so horribly designed and you described it perfectly any attack is accompanied by a flashbang unable to see anything and if so much as a single light beam hit you it will stagger you and likely just kill you because radahn's already about to swing again. Which is a damn shame because i actually liked alot of the bosses in the dlc but they decided to ruin it by making a boss less fun to fight than bed of chaos.

Wait, you telling me with all of this you can't pass the final boss ?

I mean, you don't learn the fight ? that pretty much impossible to lose with that kind of build imo

Im far more low lvl than this with basic poke and run/roll gameplay and this beat it.

Time to Git Gud buddy :praisesun:

Fingerprint shield + antspur rapier with bleed. Buffed up with golden vow, bestial vitality, and shield grease (reapply shield grease when you run from the boom at the start of phase 2) went in and beat him in about 2 minutes with only one potion used. Pearl shield talisman, greatshield talisman, holy negation talisman, and stamina regen talisman. Only thing I dodged for was the grab. It's cheap, but so is the fight mechanics. Don't summon NPCs

I was a ♥♥♥♥ fight and ever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ending, don't summon the npc's the buff they give to him is far not worth their participation trophy efforts.

mimic tear on the second phase if you have to, but with regen and a poker you can comfortably down him... I did mine at fragment level 13 and only recently went on a merry chase for that crap.

It’s the only full blown god we face in the entire game. He’s fine.

That's roleplaying crap, get to the facts of the gameplay.

If you get hit by a beam of light, your input-buffered roll goes off after you stagger from the lightbeam hit, and his next swing rollcatches you, and you probably get stuck in a string of input buffered rolls until you die.

His quick cross slash can't be dodged because the second hit will rollcatch you, you just have to eat the damage. Maybe you can roll into a certain space to outspace it but it's his quickest attack and it seems unlikely you can react fast enough when it also looks similar to his other attacks.

I still have no idea how to dodge half of the anime lightshow DBZ ♥♥♥♥ attacks.

His arena-wide quick nuke (not the big light beam) has NO recovery, you can't even poke him once after that, and in fact you'll probably struggle to see his next move because of white crap on the screen.

I'm not using a shield by the way, don't care but that's the character I always played as and I'll either finish or not finish the game that way. But guys, this ♥♥♥♥ is BAD. I don't care if ongbal did it finally after 5000 tries without damage, I'll have patience for maybe 500 before moving on.

I enjoyed the DLC quite a bit, but I absolutely agree that the final boss was total ass. 1st phase was fine, 2nd phase is total bs though (welp, I didn't need eyes anyway I guess!). Really sad that I had to cheese him because it -could- have been a really good fight, but it's ended being the lowest point of the DLC for me

I managed in the end with a bleed/parry build: https://youtu.be/MuEFGxOKX9o?si=ZClP5Z0b67IH0R37

This video was my inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fde-s6wopz8

It's doable, but it takes a lot of practice. I do agree that the lights in Phase 2 are a huge pain in the ass, though.

EB is an alien not a God. That’s been known for a while. It traveled across the stars.

It's not even the fight that's a letdown for me, it's that compared to at least the other fromsoft games I played, DLC final boss had a sense of finality to some degree. I get that this can be done before main game final boss sure but, really wish there was another boss after this.

But what would the context for it be?
