furnace golems
why do they take 20 minutes to fight even with ugs or any high stagger damage weapon. not to mention the spiked leg ones only being able to get killed with the dumb pots you have to craft.
the novelty wore off after the first one tbh they are really cool looking but such a slog to fight.

Where have you been? That's 90% of the fights in the DLC lol.

Would you prefer they add some ulcerated tree spirits for variety?

Interesting, I thought they were an invincible gimmick to block your path.
I have been running around them with Torrent.

what fights are that long besides these furnace golems? everything else is under 10 minutes and entertaining, not just jumping over a stomp or occasionally running from tracking fire balls.

I have a theory that the guy who came up with the idea for the UTS is one of the level designers and he's just so happy that they greenlit the idea that he puts them everywhere.

nope just have to stagger their legs 3 times, first 2 come easy the 3rd always takes several minutes

almost, at least you could kill them somewhat "fast" even if they werent fun to fight.

With 8 Scadutree Blessings I can take one out in 5 mins or less... idk man, the pattern is p simple too. jump foot step is about all.

I think of a really angry Kool-Aid Man every time I see one.

You can kill them with perfumes in about 20 seconds with the rolling sparks ash of war if you buff up first and wear damage talismans

They already did, there are at least 3 of them in the dlc

They're just tedious. Like a lot of the things in the DLC, but they're just tedium incarnate to me.

The few times you get to chuck a pot into them are at least somewhat interesting, but then they made the mats for those pots... usually require killing the golems. It takes 3 pots to kill a golem who gives you 1 mat to make a pot. If you die in an attempt, miss or accidently throw a pot instead of healing... well you might not be able to make them anymore. Better go farm this tiny group of mobs and hope they drop it.

Or, you know, just ignore the stupid things because they're not fun and tedious to even interact with, much less fight and their rewards are probably completely useless to you.

They were a great addition. From actually started making crafting items relevant. I hope they continue down this path in the future. Maybe needing certain items to open doors or solve puzzles. They even gave the mimic veil a purpose.

That dungeon is the only time I've ever used the mimic veil, and even then it was only useful in crossing a single bridge

What they drop is a joke too, it's jump jump revolution for flask tears of no value past two or three if you really want to play sekeiro instead.

I like having crafting items relevant, but having one of them be an extremely limited resource that could end up soft locking you and stopping you from even killing them (furnace face thing they drop and you can find) and mimic veil being useful against the blight statues was awesome.
