Quite a bit of context in the base game is changed heavily. I don't mind it as much as others, but the final boss should've been Godwyn, not Radahn.

Miquella's fine, he's got his manipulation from his mother.

The final boss should have been Messmer 100%. No need to retcon Godwyn's death just like they did with Radahn.

The lore is simple.
Miquella brainwashes people and steal their hearts and minds.
He stole revived Radhan inside Mohg's body. Radhan was basically a puppet. That is why he had no say in the matter nor spoke any words.
No incest occured, both were terminated by the holy christian Tarnished.

Miquella brainwashed Mohg and stole his body after we killed him, then stuffed Radahn's soul in it and mind controlled him just like he did with Mohg. Radahn is not himself. This is most obviously seen because Radahn would never be separated from Leonard willingly.

Not enough sense for me to drop 40€ on a re-skin with lore that adds nothing to the main experience

Eh i wouldn't say that. The lore and gameplay was generally really great, and then completely ate ♥♥♥♥ in wet concrete at the very end.
