Check your Steam Input settings. Use the official Elden Ring profile.
Try disabling / enabling Steam Input.
If you are using a 3rd party driver to make your controller work, make sure there are no macros enabled.
Try using only the 3rd party driver or only Steam Input as they can interfere with one another.
If using wirelessly, try wired.
I tried this. Nothing happens!
Additionally, holding down triangle brings up the pouch.
That's incredibly strange... maybe try unequipping everything and reequipping the hookclaws? I'm assuming you've already tried closing the game fully and restarting your console?
I used the cold hookclaws a lot and never had any problems two handing them.
Yeah, tried all that too. It has to be bugged in some way.
Or there is something preventing me from doing it that I'm not aware of.
Has triangle always brought up the pouch?
Yes. Hold triangle and press the dpad to use the items in the pouch, it's always been like that.
If you're playing on PS5, is it possible you may have activated the accessibility feature that allows you to remap buttons or triggers? Have you tried holding triangle and pressing L2 or R2?
Yup. I’ve tried holding triangle and pressing everything, multiple times lol. It just stays on the hip no matter what.
This seems the most likely right now.
I had made sure I was in an area that allows for attacking.
Something was terribly wrong, must have been some kind of disconnect between the time I had last played it, and when I had redownloaded the game.
All the helpful people here, thank you for your effort!
Now it’s time to beat the DLC which is not “too hard” at all!
