Between Sword of Night katana or the sister summons

Which do you guys think is better?

At the end of the Ymir questline, you get a choice between a weapon or a summon, and the summon can get a second summon added to it. Just curious if anyone knew which was better.

I played blind so with no clue about what i was doing i got a shield and claws....oh and her armor inside a Gaol (Bony one).

If you get the sister, you can double it to get two badass knight babes though.
I had to get the spirit cuz I wasted my other iris.

They are asking about the quest reward at the end where you get to choose, similar situation like with milicent or sellen's quests. Where you have to choose sign, but here you choose something else.

I would go with ash, and get someone to drop the sword. Or just get the sword since mimic exists, and it's shameful to use summons anyway xDD

True - one can find those separately from the rewards from the quest. The shield is admittedly pretty nice against casters.

If you haven't found this location yet, look for the Cathedral of Manus Metyr. Ymir in there starts the quest.

This is what I did, basically. When I checked, the sword's AoW seems pretty nice, but also not something I felt pressed to get right away - I figured I'd grab it on a NG playthrough.

EDIT: I thought this because while the Sword of Night's multi-slash charge mechanic is pretty nice, it only affects a single enemy as far as I can see, and its engagement range isn't very far. If your experience with it is different, I'd very much like to know.

Well i just talked to her until she had nothing more to say. Invaded me before the mother of fingers and thats all my relation with her the first Shadowlands clear!

And shameful to use summons? I know you are kidding.....who would be ashamed of summoning the SWORDMASTER! That little dude is the closest thing we are going to get to Yoda in Elden Ring, teleporting around frostbiting people in the face.

Yup also the claws are awesome. Their normal attack hemorrhage build up is quite modest but the ash of war wich is basically throwing a fan of knifes builds it up pretty fast.

Now i dont know if her armor can be found in the Bony village gaol without killing her but the helm? Thats Sauron, dude.....the fashion is strong in that set.

not sure i got it tried the ash looks like he does multiple hits and triggres bleed , looks very cool though so i guess which one you like more i dont go by AR and scaling when i chose what i use

It's only shameful if you have no father figure. I'm sure you'd know something about that
