Why did George Martin failed miserably with Elden Ring and was fired by Miyazaki ?

Really not a fault of either of them as talent as both of them are talented at what they know.

But the reason is that Elden Ring is a mystical game that works with hints, scant descriptions on weapon items.

On the other hand, a true dynasty feud requires a lot of conversation and intrigue, drama. This cannot happen in Elden Ring signature of mysticism.

So both men are wrong for accepting a contract in originally badly designed and conceived and grossly overestimated ambition. At the end most likely FromSoft paid lots of money to George Martin for minimal work. At the same time the ELden Ring project showed George Martin as a poor story teller, with such limited resources, imposed by Miyazaki, to express a full blown story like Game of Thrones we are used to.

Result is disaster of which nobody cares storywise

fromsoft had dark souls assets. put those assets into a new world. created npcs and items. had writer come in and scribble down an outline about how everything is tied together. game shipped. fanfic filled in the holes.

i agree. there are a few people that constantly flood the board with dumb posts and troll in the comments. i've actually had op blocked already. i keep seeing posts by blocked users, click to see what's up and yep- mostly unhinged ramblings. same group of people seem to comment on posts with the intention of derailing from the topic over and over too. and the same group of people try to bait others to react so they can report them and get them banned.
