Good melee weapons for mages

I'd like to use melee weapons aside from magic in case i'd run out of fp.
Do you have any recommendations?

you can go either pure caster or go BattleMage bla bla.
if Pure caster like me then RAPIER cold affinity bec it needs NO STAT INVESTMENT.
if you dont care just go for MOONLIGHT greatsword build or deathpoker.
most op weapons in game

Meteoric Ore Blade is exactly what I would describe as a "mage weapon". For the entire game you do not have to level any physical stats beyond what it requires to hold. It will start getting diminishing returns once your Int passes 50, but at that point I'm sure you will have plenty more choices.
