Should I make a new character to prep for the dlc?
Any reason to start a fresh playthrough? Seem like many players are doing so but I still got my old character after beating the game, haven't move on to NG+ yet. Don't really want to do another 50hour session just to be ready when the dlc drop.

People are more doing it since they're far into ng with high lvl characters and wanna experience the dlc at the expected lvl, so if your char has just finished the game your probably fine, probs gonna be through mohg

I've read around some people working on a save that keeps Malenia alive in case there's new dialogue.

I have:
1 lvl 270+
1 lvl 180+
1 lvl 80
1 lvl 50
1 lvl 30
All waiting (in fact, a good time I dont "really" play ER or any souls-like so when I get the DLC I will be rusty, making the experience even better).

only reason to do it aside from genuinely wanting to do a full playthru is to make a new build within the pvp/co-op "meta" range of RL125-150 for increased activity or if youre super high level and want to use a more "normal" level build, probably again around 125-150.
