Fist build Suggestion.
I finally got the Spiked Caetus, and was wondering where I should aim to put my stats in? I checked some Youtube videos but the ones I saw aren't really that current (understandable) and this is my first playthrough so I was just trying to optimize or get some advice.

I plan on running fist weapons all the way through so any help would be appreciated.

I haven't really messed around with fist weapons so I don't have any build advice, but I've got an obscure little trivia thing: the Grafted Dragon is a one-handed fist but it CAN activate the dual-wield moveset if you have another fist weapon in the other hand. So if you want that shoryuken + area denial fire you can work it into your moveset that way.

Pump STR. Get FTH to a measly 12 for Bloodflame.

Should I cap my STR at a certain number?

Grafter dragons stats are terrible and the aow is one of the worst in the game. As for stats, just strength all the way, pick up golden vow (the aow) and braggarts roar, then just do a lot of charged and uncharged r2s and you'll be melting bosses.

The Grafted Dragon AoW is terrible on random soldiers, true. Try it on a tree spirit or an erdtree guardian though. Either of those just completely melts.

I mean yes, but caestus can just repeatedly bleed stuff into oblivion, and ball fists can oneshot most bosses

You're better off with the star fist, but you can build spiked thesame way.
40~60 vig, 40~60 arc, 18~80 str, all depending on what level you wa t to end on. Note you can pump arc all the way to 80, prioritize it over str, if you go with an occult enchant instead of a blood enchant. Rest of the stats are to preference.

Talisman wise; rot wing, milli's pros, dragoncrest, and either swaddling cloth or lord of blood for your last slot.

You can also build it as a roar build instead going for roar medal, axe tali, dragoncrest, lord of blood

Ashe of wars I can recommend are braggart's roar, barb roar, crag blade, lifesteal fist, bhs.

Str soft cap is at 55 and hard cap is 80. So def don't go any less than 55 and only go higher if you aren't severely lacking somewhere else.

Hard cap of any stat is 99, 80 is a soft cap since you can still go higher. Granted going past 80 is basically pointless, so it does act like a hard cap to some. According to fextra's wiki sofr caps for str are:
18/50/60/80
