My one big wish for Shadow of the Erdtree

Is that it does not continue the absurd damage inflation in the late game. Been playing a fully unmodded ER for the first time in a year to have a save ready when the DLC drops, and I'd forgotten just how obnoxious the huge damage spike after Leyndell actually is. You can level Vigor and just power through it, but it's still just a lazy way to do difficulty.

i do make my own challenge run, and cant wait to see snow field damage on my lv6 astrologer :D not long ago was kill the godskin skiny 1 in the big tower on caelid :) it was nice 2 hour practice to kill him :D
i was have 9 fp potion, and in end i was have only 1 :D

what i try to say i made this challenge run to prove it can beat elden in starter lvl mage, and dont need 50 lvl, and 2nd, to start the dlc in lv6 :), maybe i will be the only 1 wsho beat dlc in so low lvl :D in astrologer :D

We are talking about post Haligtree content, wich means everything hitting way harder than post Leyndell.

So im sorry, wish not granted. They are going to mop the floor with your underleveled and underprepared character.....(level up vigor and use consumables).

ah so ot will be a nice challenge if i kill just 1 boss in lv6 :D

That´s very impressive congrats for that :)

I´m afraid with the amount of people doing the most absurd of challenge runs in games in general and ESPECIALLY in the souls games you won´t be the only one to do a Astrologer challenge for the DLC for very long. But maybe you will be the first one to complete it :)

I personally tried to beat the game with Wretch only and so far I got Tree Sentinel and most of the Bosses in Limgrave, Margit, Godrick, Wolf of Radagon (which was pretty hard) with club +0 and after upgrading the club to +6 also the Draconic Tree Sentinel and I´m currently stuck at Rennala but I don´t think I´ll finish it the Draconic Tree Sentinel already took me like half an hour or somehting I don´t want to think about how long the later Bosses would take :D

To help offset the damage spike, I'm hoping they add a few heavy-duty armor sets with high damage negation that give us an extra incentive to boost Endurance. The trailer shows what looks like a heavy-duty blocky-looking black iron set. Hopefully they will also have an armor set that looks like Armor of Thorns from DS1 and DS3.

heres a thing, you have infinite amough damage for me, its limited :D right now i have 10 fp and 3 hp pot, i feel in snow field will be like 12 fp and 2 hp or 13 /1 :D but yes maybe i'm the first 1 who will finish ER with starter lvl sorceries class run :D, i not see a single gameplay with so low lvl astrologer :) max a lv50 and to make this run i was livestream it in youtube today was fun :D and happy to beat that godskin :)

From’s dlc, is usually harder than endgame. I’m looking forward to it, would like a reason to have to use the crafting menu. We have an entire system, that’s essentially useless for anything other than, chicken feet.

I can't wait to see people complaining about dropping €40 on DLC and then having to quit on the first boss. Remember, folks: DLC can only be refunded if you have less than 2 hours in base game!

hahaha :D this gamerwill smile and kill all boss on dlc with a lv6 astrologer if its possible :D

Yeah I have been doing a rerun as well for DLC prep and the enemies going from doing barely any damage to taking 1/3 of my health is jarring.

my reason for m,y challenge run is to see what is the damage on starter lvl on dlc, every1 make 150 or higher lvl to play the game, what the point to do that? i have a lv500 mage ng+ but right now i enjoy my hard work on caelid :) then capital missing bosses, kill godfrey there so only couple of missing :D to be honest cant remember any boss then godfrey and the other 1 :D
