Finding Blaidd?

So before meeting Blaidd, I already killed Bloodhound Knight Darriwil, now I seem stuck in the quest line. I don't remember being given the Finger Snap Gesture by the merchant, but I have it in my list somehow.

Blaidd's icon is still in the ruin, I hear the houl, but I Finger Snap and then nothing happens, and the houl stopped, even if I refresh and return. And no Blaidd at the Bloodhound boss either.

Does anybody know if I completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up this questline?

You'll probably miss the rewards of those early interactions but you should meet him again during Ranni's quest.

Blaidd doesn't matter. Just seek Ranni.

When you use the Finger Snap emote, Blaidd will go down and meet you. You have to find him in the ruins just below where he was howling. After you do this he will tell you about Darriwil. If you already killed him, he will spawn next to the evergaol I believe and give you the reward.

If this doesn't happen, don't worry. You can still continue Blaidds' quest by meeting Ranni.
