as far as i understand the AOW itself deals no damage so no boost from talisman?

no that still counts as the ash of war.

basically everything that uses L2/LT is an ash of war.

No, the only times that an AoW 'gives a moveset' is when it affects one of the other buttons, like the Axe of Godfrey and heavy attacks. Like people have said, anything L2 is a weapon skill.

Spinning slash can be very OP! Spinning slash +bloodflame blade + Alexander + any conservative attack talismans and ritual talisman = deadly in pve and pvp!

Spinning slash can be very OP! Spinning slash +bloodflame blade + Alexander + any conservative attack talismans and ritual talisman = deadly in pve and pvp!

keen nagakiva+bloodflame+cons attack talismans+shard = less damage and do 360 Bleed with spinning slah. 2 Guts swings do 320 bleed and more pure damage with much bigger ar buffs from white mask+BLE .
interesting if HOARAH LOUX'S EARTHSHAKER can proc bleed....
