Sorcery is very overpowered if you do it right. Night Comet basically melts everything in the game, and the Moon-based spells add additional debuffs making magic even stronger.
If you have a problem with spirit ashes dying too fast, try tankier spirit summons. Melee-based tanks are a great pairing with a mage build, engvall is a great early game damage sponge and Dung Eater does great late game.
Of course, if you are playing blind, you don't really know any of this, and you probably spread out your stats so thinly that you ended up with only 50 int at the end game, and not necessarily understanding all the stacking effects which make magic a super power in the game.
You need a more intelligent Elden Ring sorcerer my dude.....go and fetch Karolos burger king crown or something.

I used the best staff for my int. Up until 40 I used demi queen or whatever and then academy staff after. And yes I did upgrade my staves, but I didn't like upgrading past what I could buy infinite. If I had higher FP and allocated more blue flasks, I probably could have done better, but I didn't have stats for that bc I was also leveling STR, stamina, dex, and vigor.
That spell requires you to kill an end game boss before you get it. It also requires high FP or the spell stops casting. And a lot of bosses are very mobile. They can interrupt the cast before you get it off or if you do cast it, they might move out of the way.
Best staff for low int. AFter 40 I switched to the academy staff which was the best one for that level
This is the problem. I am using an INT build, my strength and dex are enough to use Moonveil, that's it. Everything else was vigor, little bit of Mind for more FP, and small dose of Endurance to be able to cast spells quickly and repeatedly.
