it's an rpg, strong things exist and make the game easier in all of them. This one only gets this many complaints about it because souls fans are obsessed with difficulty even tho all of the games function the same and can be trivialized.
on the "just dont use them" "point" i'm talking about how the late game is built with the mimic tear in mind. i aint saying remove it. i'm saying that was a fun idea but i hope they dont damage the next games end bosses with the same idea of a clone that muddles up the battlefield balance.
How is it muddying the battlefield balance?
I don't know what that means.
I mean, summons in the older games also trivialized the bosses they were scaled to.
Solaire for example trivializes a bunch of bosses in DS1 the same way you might argue the mimic tear does in Elden Ring. Tarkus can solo the Iron Golem all by himself. lol
It's all relative to their respective games.
The mimic tear is unique in that it copies the player's build.
But with regards to what function the Mimic Tear actually serves and how it can drastically reduce the difficulty of bosses?
Yeah --- that's not new.
yeah, the overpowered weapons of this game are also a single item
I also don't see how it matters that it's a single item. It's not like you need to be a nasa scientist to put together 3 things to make a strong build. Builds in these games are very simple
