I have to use blue flasks to get inferior spells and inferior melee attacks.
Holy by itself is really strong, like it literally dosen't care if an enemy has 80% resistance to it. I managed to get 2.5k damage in one ash of war use by maximizing the use of holy with marikas hammer, and this is on Maliketh (80% resistance to holy).
Another thing is that most of the time you're dealing split damage for normal hits. You won't be using your holy damage fully except when you're using skills.
Holy damage is also really easy to buff alot with percentage based items. For example, the holy scorpion charm, holy shrouding cracked tear. Combine this with shard of alexander and ritual sword or red feathered branchsword and you got full synergy.
Also considering you're likely gonna use faith, you will get access to the incantation and spells needed just from leveling up.
TLDR; No, its too op, thats why bosses have the resistances.
I still have a level 50 pala that fights like a level 20 barb even if buffed.
Damage output (not damage on the sheet) is really low (not only to resistant enemies)
I got some ranged options from spells but inferior to a caster (that is ok, as I didn´t expect more)
What I expected was something like better melee capabilities as a tradeoff for needing FP for my buffs.
I feel like you're not paying any attention to any of the comments that actually ARE trying to help you and instead you just kind of want to reinforce the opinion you formed before you even made this thread.
Post screenshots of your entire setup, please.
Because yes, you can absolutely play like a Paladin and do amazing damage.

Nope!
A weapon Buff Build is it's own thing. If that is what you want to do, I suggest looking at the Tree Spear, Great Club & Troll hammer as all have a Faith scaling while also being Buffable.
Holy DMG itself is a contradiction, because a lot of the Big Named Bosses have 40% to 80% Resistance. On the flip side, most mobs are in the 0% to 20%. So Holy works well for Mobbing but not Bossing.
But here is the thing about Faith weapons, they also boost Fire (well Flame) & I know of no enemies or Boss that resists Both. And the sheer amount of Good to Great Faith weapons you can used is just.... Hmmm!
So my question to you now is, what is a Paladin to you?
For me, it is a Knight, Big Amour, Big Shield, Sword/Mace, whit some incantations to buff.
It is very typical from the Souls Series for Knightly Faith types to throw Lightning, because Solaire Sunbro.
Tell us what weapon or weapons you would like to use, and everyone here can tell you how to make it work, if it's meh or Over Powered.
Weapon: sword, mace or hammer (perhaps an axe)
You're good!
But the link doesn't work
Considering the Mix stats, Unique Weapons are going to give you the best Bang per Buck over Infusions that lack the Cold/Blood/Poison for Faith builds.
Ordovis's Greatsword would be the best fit, it scales well whit STR-Faith, and it's AoW deals mostly Physical to Holy (70-30)
Gargoyle's Blackblade is the earliest weapon you can grab, but the Boss Holding it is a Endgame Boss, although you can get it whit out cheating or Tweeking solo or whit the help of Jolly-Cooperation. It does not scale well, but it's base DMG is high and it's AoW does %DMG while slapping
Godslayer's Greatsword, another weapon that can be grabbed early by fighting a End game Boss. This is a Colossal Sword, that is slightly faster then the other Colossal Swords whit a AoW that does Black Fire for %HP DMG.
Blasphemous Blade fits you Stat theme, whit a AoW that is just Disgustingly op whit having Heals on Hit & Heals on Kill Passive. But it's look and name goes against your theme.
Staff of the Avatar Pure DPS King of the STR-Faith route, unloved because it deal a lot of Holy DMG & Butt Slams AoW
Miquellan Knight's Sword This is THE Paladin Sword... Located in a Hidden Dungeon beyond the Hidden Area at the very end of the Game... Sorry.
That's actually how I beat the Elden Beast on PS5, lol.
