I have absolutely no desire to finish this game and I went against my better judgement with preordering which I said I'd never do. I realize the base game has issues with repeated content and some recycled enemies, but for the most part, I found nearly every area enjoyable. This DLC however? This is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and the amount of reviewers that downplayed the emptiness of the later areas and repeated content just to get it the "10 out of 10" review score is cowardly. This is Breath of the Wild levels of empty and lack of enemy variety bad.

The worst part is, outside of the critical reviews talking about performance (justified), it's only people complaining about difficulty. There are options in this game to overcome the difficulty level, there is nothing that can be done with the lack of meaningful content. How many more times do I have to see those reskinned bugs from the Ashes of Ariandel DLC? Why am I getting Smithing Stones 4-5? Who needs THIS many Glovewort 9s?

To give an example of how eye rolling this DLC is: Finding the alternative path to the jagged peak, you fight the Ancient Dragon Man with that crappy default dragon music. Once you defeat him, you leave the dungeon and two steps out of there a dragon lands and you hear that stupid dragon music again. You defeat that dragon...take another 5 steps...guess what? Not just ONE dragon but two dragons fighting and that crappy music starts up AGAIN. It's not even like these dragons are interesting, They're the default dragons except the lightning they drop is yellow rather than red.

Fromsoftware has dropped a notch in my book with this BS. This is not worth $40 and easily the worst directed Miyazaki content we've ever had. I really hope they get back to doing what they do best with the Soulsborne formula because they clearly didn't learn from the mistakes they made in the base game. Commence the dismissive replies.

just about the only thing i agree with is that the ost's from the original soundtrack are a little (a lot) overused but you must have some different copy of the game than i have

Oh did the coast not finish downloading for me or something? I'm happy to hear that. I'll check the files and see if something screwed up in the downloading process that didn't add in all the fun new enemies and loot.

Ah yeah the amount of reused content for 40 dollars is laughable . Throughout my entire play-through I was joking to my friends saying stuff like :

" Oh yeah. I totally payed 40 dollars to fight more bears . I guess its okay since they're tooootally different. They got red streaks on em and now have a silly little hat on. Completely different!"

Oh boy another falling star beast? hell yeah my favorite !

That giant fire guy at the entrance of the dlc was kind of an interesting fight i guess. Oh look another one 10 feet away? Already reusing content within your own dee el cee? Classic."

The list goes on. Doesnt help that the dlc has large areas with very little in them to begin with. Makes it feel even more empty when you spam reused content.
