Good tips for beating the game fairly quickly?
I don't mean it in the sense that I want to do a professional speedrun, I just want to make a new character to get to the DLC. I know about Radagon Soreseal, killing the dragon + nights cavalry early for runes, but I'm not sure what build to go for and what else I can do. I'm thinking of using Iron Balls for stagger and using talismans + crystal tears for it but idk if that's viable

A bleed weapon to get through Mohg-land?

Alternate idea: Go to Caelid. Grab Meteoric Staff and Stone Toss (or whatever it was called)..... or Staff of Loss and Night Comet. Grab Moonveil too since you're in the area. Put points into Int. Go get Varre in second location and gain access to Mohg-land. Rush to end and try not to die to Mohg.
DLC access get.

There's a video on youtube, I want to say it's something like "how to get to the DLC in under 2 hours" where the guy shows how you can body Mohg with Bloodhound's Fang in such a way that he barely has a chance to attack. You can give that a try if you'd like, and meteorite staff + rock sling staggers the living daylights out of Radahn. I think he's susceptible to rot as well, but I don't know that I've ever tried it.

Oh.... I see. Okay. Would it work with other curved greatswords, or is it the AoW?

Some somber weapon, then rush the stones.

Probably the Moonveil or BHF.

if you want a good early game build id recommend going for maybe the bloodhound's fang

I want to say it's pretty dependent on the AoW, it's been a while since I watched the video and it was way too late o'clock, but I believe part of the strat involved using the AoW at a key point to evade Mohg's attacks while dealing damage. Probably Fang's poise damage was a factor as well.

You could sub it for any curved sword that procs bleed, but the AoW and poise damage Fang gets you were key to that guy's strat if I recall correctly.

Although Bloodhound Fang route is evidently best for speedrunning, it requires more skill than Blasphemous Blade. If you want to create a Faith + Blasphemous Blade build you could copy my speedrun route. But rather than complete Faram Azula, branch off after you are fully powerered-up to kill Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood.

He's super weak to rot and poison, buying a couple Poison Stone Clumps on the way there + picking up Rot Breath at the dragon cathedral will make things a lot easier.

Do a bunch of Yura's quest so you can get the crystal tear that negates the Nihil attack. Grab and upgrade the Pulley crossbow and stock up on bleedbone bolts (I'd say frost bolts as well but I'm not sure if you can buy them anywhere, the craftable ones aren't available until Ordina), in phase 2 focusing 100% on dodges while spamming bleed lets you cheese the hardest part of the fight.

If you're underlevelled HP-wise the Sacred Shield Talisman is super strong, as long as you're fully healed by one sip you're basically got a permanent +30% to ALL defenses

I thought it was pretty amazing for Mohg D: I apparently skipped the whole fight with it.

If you can get the great club early it has great poise break with fast heavy attacks
