Elden Ring DLC - Final Boss Guide (Medium Skill)
Talisman Set Up:

1. Radagons Soreseal (20 free stats)
2. pearl shield talisman (reduces elemental dmg on block)
2. Pearl talisman +3 (reduces elemental dmg on hit)
4. Crimson Seed +1 (increases heal flasks)

The reason we run pearl talismans is because phase 1 he deals magic dmg phase 2 he deals magic dmg and holy dmg so we need flat 60% resistances to play the game.

Weapon set up:

1. cold naginata
2. brass shield
3. casting staff (will never use)

Ash of war:

barricade shield

Buff flask:

1. plus magic dmg
2. plus stamina regen

Guide Phase 1:

Super easy, what you want to do is activate baricade shield at the beginning of each of *spoilers* long combo strings.

And while you're block pinned you spam pokes with your naginatta

(this will build up bleed and frost status)

Keep doing this until dead, don't summon, and just jam your buff flask before fog gate.

Guide Phase 2:

Heal at the start, wait for explosion animation, and just block it.

Immediately chime your preferred ash (golem is okay, mimic is okay, etc.)

Do the same thing you did for phase 1 but make adjustments for much much longer combo strings.

You will be taking a lot of chip dmg but the nice thing is that his longer strings are a guaranteed heal if you're patient and you survive them.

Guide Phase 3:

Meteor jump is unblockable and unrollable (tested with medium roll)

So you just pick the farthest point in the arena you can and sail towards it at sprinting speed this is guaranteed to work.

Otherwise this phase is the same as before baricade shield on response to combo string poke when you have stamina to spare, release block to charge stamina as needed.

Eventually he will die to status procs like bleed and frost, while you're poking for 500 a piece.

Nice thing about frost too is that it slows him by a few frames giving you more breathing room relatively speaking. (nice on consoles cuz the fight chugs)

That's it when I beat the final dlc boss with my other builds I'll let you know, don't really bother with spells he can instant teleport across the arena to punish.

Just stick with it and you'll do okay.

Special Note:

Grab mechanic - best thing to do is roll and punish, but if you want you can stand there for a bit and remove the charm dot using *spoiler* broken rune tool.

If you get 2 charm dot's you instantly "die" but that only happened to me once compared to a high number of traditional deaths.

Insane that you recommend a soreseal.

Yeah for pure melee you really won't need it because you'll have all the stats by now.

On a caster however 20 melee stats not only pushes you to requirements to use over half of the weapons in the game, give you a ton of health, stamina, equip load etc.

So yes if you are min maxing and have something like 19 shards soreseal is fine.

If you have some runic arc to spare use the margit great rune and remove the radagon soreseal.

Put the golden braid talisman or the spelldrake talisman +3 or remove the pearl and you can have the spelldrake +3 and the golden braid.

I was struggling so hard (I actually beat all of the bosses up to the final boss without summons and just using my trusty Moonveil) but the 2nd phase on that bastard was just ridiculous and the lightshow made me unable to see anything half the time. Felt a little dirty but thanks for your tip, the Bloodfiends arm did the trick!

Sure yeah whatever, again I didn't what to change things too much for PVP optimization where my build will really shine.

Final stats:

level 150 (base game) level 190 (dlc)

60 vigor
50 mind
50 endurance
20 strength
20 dexterity
72 intelligence
7 faith
10 arcane

You can wear one of heaviest armor sets in the game, with the fire knight mask (boost stamina, health, and equip load)

Cast every single sorcery in the game.

Essentially there is nothing else this build could ever want or need, outside of the 5-8% resistance loss that only matter in pve and even then clearly not that much outside of the hardest boss in the game.
