Love the DLC! But disappointing items!

On my second play through with my arcane bleed build now…. Anyone extremely disappointed with the lack of good items in this DLC?

On my main faith str build , I used cold GUTS/giant crusher and maliketh blade as my go to weps (which worked great against all bosses) over the DLC str weps .

There is a lot of cook books , katanas … only 2 maybe worth using ? Btw that swift ash will get nerfed. Nagakiba still one of the best katanas imo with right ash of war.

Running around and finding items in far corners of the map to see that it’s just low smithing stones? Maybe it’s just me and my expectations were way to high but ..::.I was expecting a lot more GREAT weps on the DLC, where a lot of my base game weps are still waaaaay better .

Str faith with maliketh blade and over 15 scadutree blessings =over 1700 AR unbuffed! . That’s way better than any faith DLC weps . GUTS/crusher come close

Anyways …am I alone here ? I am dreading bringing my int build because it’s just going to be dark moon blade for it . Why use a much weaker DLC wep instead?

i was expecting the great katanas to be cool but nah still using my old rivers..

some of the boss weapons are cool and flashy but can't really figure out a use for them, like the messmer's spear i love the combo but where the heck do you use that?

i just really like the rivers of blood weapon art, i'm kinda bummed theres no more of those.

i'm enjoying the bloodfiend fork, milady+blood tax, and the poison fist. i'm hopeful about the poison bottle, haven't played with it much
