Faith or Int caster for the DLC?
I hear the new sorceries suck, is it true?

If thats the case, I could go with a Faith based build, because I actually want to get exited about getting new cool toys to play with.

Nah, it's not true. A few of them are probably getting hard nerfed with how OP they are *cough* Impenetrable Thorns. They did ♥♥♥♥ over Int builds in terms of new weapons tho.

Ironically, the most powerful Sorcery in the DLC is pure Faith.

Faith definitely gets a lot more love in this DLC than anything else. It gets a lot of new Incantations, some of which are actually very good.

There are a couple Arcane incantations, no Int/Faith incants at all.

There are quite a few new Intelligence Sorceries, but only two of them are actually of any use. Two pure Faith sorceries, one of which is extremely good. Three Int/Faith sorceries, of which one is good, one is decent, and one is meh.

Overall, Faith gets you much better stuff.

Mostly yes, the best spell by a mile is impenetrable thorns, it does a lot of damage, possibly the most if all the spikes hit a big boss.

Best incantation I say is fire snake, simple, cheap, very quick and tracks well.

Knights lightning spear is a little expensive but hurts, same with bayle's lightning spike, pest threads are good too.

Faith. I went in with my first ever Sorc and everything was Faith.
Cool incantations, cool weapons.

I used like one spell and... yeah one new spell of the 5 I found?
Meanwhile I know on my OG first character I would've had like 15 new toys to play with.

I will say though, I've ALWAYS had 80 int and faith to play with every spell so my opinion on Int still being good might not matter.
Well........for some reason Incantation's get 28 new spells. But Sorceries only get 14.

So if you are running Faith, you have a lot more to look forward to at least.

It's still good, or at least good enough, but if I had to do the DLC over, I'd roll in with Faith over Int just because of all the cool new toys that you'll actually be excited about.

I used... Twin Moons sometimes? And... I think that was it. The triple knives was alright.
Weapon-wise you get Moonveil at home and... really nothing else.
I Wing of Astel'd the whole way through.

If the Light Greatsword pair had been Magic and Cold (WHICH WOULD'VE MADE SENSE) I might have made it work, but it was some weird Faith/Int hybrid that didn't do much other than look cool. Every time something was difficult I was getting out the Wing.

Also a lot of those Sorceries require Faith.

The last 3 days I have thoroughly tested them both and have come to this conclusion:

Choose int if you like blue, choose faith if you like yellow and red. Hope this helps anyone.

Both are equally fun and effective, the main differences really is sorceries you can cast while moving and incantations have self heals.
