Sword of night and flame barely doing damage against Mohg

I beat his sewer version easily but his real one is giving me trouble because do terrible damage with this sword
Its fully upgraded and i got 35 and 25 int

he resists fire for one and that sword has weird/bad scaling so unless you pumping 4 stats its gonna be much less damage than better 1-2 stat scaling weapons (it's also 3 way split damage, the more splits the more it gets reduced). But I would try something without fire dmg on it. The beam weapon art should hit him ok, the costco comet

i didnt even know this weapon could shoot comet azur...
but i mean the base psyhical damage im doing to him is really bad not just the flame art but it doesnt scale with strenght

yeah every melee attack with that sword is split magic physical and fire so it's pretty bad sadly (at least against something resisting one of the elements).
