Ansbach is gone but I need a letter

It says i need the letter so freja drops her armor set.
But ansbach is gone with the scroll.
What am i supposed to do now ?
Is Freja Quest straight fked now ?

Thats exactly how i did it.
I gave him the scroll and hes gone.
Then i found frejya and went back to ansbach but hes gone

You get her sword and armor after you beat the DLC, it will be where she was sitting and inspecting that stone slab or whatever inside that room next to the site of grace. I never bothered doing any part of her quest and still got it.

I think you just miss the shield, not her armor or sword.

fromsoft bad quest design. you were supposed to ignore ansbach and go further in the zone, talk to freyja then go BACK to ansbach and give him the scroll

Yeah... I got bamboozled in the exact same way as you did...
It's not that important but it feels bad, especially when you're already pretty thorough and well aware of the Fromsoft infamous questdesign™ and try to avoid that kind of outcome...

By any chance, do you mind mentioning where you found the specific cheat engine value for the item? I looked around for a bit but found no compiled list that contained it

Yeah... I got bamboozled in the exact same way as you did...
It's not that important but it feels bad, especially when you're already pretty thorough and well aware of the Fromsoft infamous questdesign™ and try to avoid that kind of outcome...

i sided with hornsent and beat Leda and now Ansbach is gone after he knew about the ritual too.

my guess is that if we sided with hornsent, killed Leda, there is no one try to kill ansbach, there for the invade part is skipped for ansbach?

i still have to collect more thing before i progress the point of no return but if you can call ansbach to aid in the NPC fight i guess his quest progressed as intended?

You use the "Elden Ring Ultimate Cheat Engine Table (Best Table)"
There is a option to give yourself Items.
A seperate Window which has Tabs like "Weapon" "Armor" and stuff like that.
Search for "Letter" in the Search field and you should see "Letter to Frejya"

Thank you, I don't know why but the search function misbehaved on my attempts yesterday. I found it in a matter of seconds when I reloaded the cheat engine today. (oh and thank you for the friendly reminder about the potential consequences of the CE usage )

update

even tho ansbach was gone for me it seem his quest progressed as i assumed, he helped me in certain fight and stand b4 the path to last boss room just like how his quest line suppose to turn out.

so if you helped hornsent, killed leda.
you won't see the part where leda try to kill ansbach

I got bamboozled too.....whaaaa There's a cheat engine for elden ring!!!!???

As long as you haven’t torched the tree, he should be there. If not, go talk to Leda. (unless you helped, Hornsent). She will tell you that she’s going after Ansbach, once you do that, there should be summon signs, in the room he was in.

Help him beat Leda, then there should be an option to tell him about Freya.
If non of that works, you’re going to have to start a new ng cycle.


The only thing you’re going to miss out on, is her shield. You can still grab her armor after the tower fight.
