Inappropriate activity detected

I was able to play yesterday now all of the sudden I'm getting this error.

Tried verifying game files and reinstalling, rebooting to no avail. I don't have any mods installed or anything resembling file modification.

Any other ideas on how to resolve this?

Are you trying to play under Linux? I've found that I get that message since the last update. Under Windows, I can play online. I think the update broke something. I know that there is an issue with SteamDeck and they are working on a fix. Hopefully, that fixes if you're trying to play under Linux as well on a PC.

Well at least that gives me clue that I'm not the only one and they're working on something?

Wow. That's strange as it works for me under Windows 11. I do see some strange behavior since the I believe yesterday (I don't have the DLC yet). For example, after launching after the Anti-Cheat splash screen, I get a white screen for about 5 seconds and the game definitely loads slower than it did last week. And when I exit the game, I see my desktop, then all of a sudden, the screen goes black, I see the Bandai Namco black splash screen for a split second and then eventually it finally exits out complete.y

I wonder if it has to do with me not having the DLC yet?

no its normal. a few got this weird loading screen.

Me when i close the game. 1 sec black then desktop in an other sresolution. 2 secs later everything normal

Found an older post that said to try this under Windows:

If you're having the issue where the game won't launch due to Easy Anti Cheat error code 30005. All you have to do to fix this is location your Easy Anti Cheat installation, mine is located in: C:\Program Files (x86)\EasyAntiCheat_EOS then delete the file easyanticheat.sys and restrat your pc. Once your pc restarts just launch Elden Ring!

So try that.

dont have that problem. its in game when i try to summon one or be summoned. otherwise its fine to play online

I have read this happens when you or the game disconnects abnormally. I think it's to stop people quitting when invaded.

I'm not saying you are doing this, but I think there is an issue where quitting the game normally can cause this.

i got 2 invaders today.

and the message of inproppaite activity came before the first invader enterd my world

They aren't going to fix it since you can just wait and it solves itself.
