I got the rotten sword insignia from her, so i'd have to go new game + to get it.

Its unlikely but if you have gotten the frenzied flame and want to reverse it for a different ending, killing her for the prosthesis locks you out of reversing it. I know that's unlikely but just in case, fyi

Nope. For the DLC I wanted to use my character that I got the frenzied flame ending for, and I thought, why not go try curing it with the needle. I also thought, may as well get the prosthetic while I'm at it. So I did her whole quest from scratch after finishing the game mind you, decide to invade instead of help, only to learn that you actually cannot get the needle if you kill her in any way.
