BUFF STR BASED WEAPONS AND NERF BOSS ATTACK (DLC)

Why don't my attacks do anything to the boss? Shouldn't I be able to break their posture or have some impact? This game is like using dex-based weapons, mage builds, or bleed weapons. I'm playing the DLC and I'm on the second boss. This boss just hits twice in her second form and I die. I have high defense against magic and melee, and my attributes are supposed to help me tank their attacks, but I get hit twice and die. I'm using heavy armor and magic defense talismans, but they aren't helping me at all.
My character is level 181. Do I need to be max level to beat them alone?

I'm done. I was able to beat the boss, but I didn't have fun. I feel like From Software needs to pay me to play this DLC. I'm going to wait and play again when they fix the game.

if you cant do damage with a str build your build is bad not str. caster builds are much weaker than str in the dlc it all just depends on what weapon your using, i used the spiked ball fists with the axe talisman and just skipped phase 2 of rellana due to stun locking her

I'm using the Starscourge Greatsword, and it's kind of odd. I hit the boss with Starcaller Cry, but the boss doesn't seem to feel anything. The boss just acts like nothing happened. I just want special attacks or heavy attacks to be more impactful. And I was using the Meteoric Ore Blade before, but I struggled to break the boss's posture even with the help of the flasks

I am at the final boss of the dlc and I went through it with the Blacksteel greathammer...
It is perfectly viable. If you are talking about rellana I learned her moveset and parried her a whole lot

i hate saying that, but this is a legit skill issue, and writing a negative review just because the dlc is too hard for you is wild

Yeah, watch my fight against Radagon. His most powerful attacks didn't take even half of my HP. The DLC boss just needs to do basic attacks to kill me.
