Okay, what the f is wrong with boss healthbars in this DLC
I literally can't be bothered to fight bosses with anything less than a full bloodloss build or Ash of War spam, and DEFINITELY not by myself. Did they balance this DLC around like 3 OP builds, just to "teach us a lesson" or something? I swear to god everytime fromsoft releases something it feels like they treat it as competion against the players, not an experience to be fairly designed

This is a delusion you've created to justify your own inability. You definitely don't need a meta build to beat bosses in this DLC.

Pretty much this. I cleared the rest of the DLC with hand-to-hand right after i got the first one. It is fun af

Ah, yes. It is the games fault that you can't beat the boss because he's got too much HP. Have you ever considered that your approach is just not that good? Maybe you're underleveld, haven't explored enoug and didn't use the tools the game offers you? The Blame game is strong these days.

You do realize that scadutree blessings give you at max a *200%* damage bonus for a whopping triple damage dealt right? In addition to it being a higher level area than placidusax anyway. Bigger health bars are expected in light of that.

I have literally just beat that boss, Divine Beast Dancing Lion to be precise, like 5 minutes after he pissed me off enough to write that. It was a chore. All points of the post still stand

So we're expected to MAX that before fighting any boss, correct?

Well consider that final boss with 2 summons will have over 200k hp, honestly once you get some shadow blessings its fine for most part, but difficulty isnt those bosses having some super hard moveset, its just that they have plenty of explosions and follow ups which will chip at you and aggressiveness turned to the point where there are barely any windows to heal all in order to outlast you.

at 5% per and 20 lvl max(im 18 after finishing it and i played with a map and done at least all remembrance bosses, all furnace golems and i think all but maybe missed 1 optional dungeon somewhere) you cap at +100% dmg and idk how much dmg reduction.

So you beat him, gj. If you are still frustrated and not having any fun maybe you should consider not playing the game?

first off, try skill

I mamage to beat all the bosses. Only one with too much HP was the twin knight lady. Other than that the bosses fell over.

Use more frost or blood weapons. They make a world of difference.

Perfect play is possible. The ideal player does not require armor, because they are never hit. The ideal player requires no weapon, because they have an infinite time to do minimum damage, eventually resulting in victory. Every deviation you take from that form of play is either due to your lack of skill or your compensation for that lack of skill. Don't bug about it, we all do the same, but you need to reframe your understanding away from "it should be possible" to "it is possible" and then work to meet the latter condition. "What must I do to make this possible?" Dodge better, strafe better, position better, sure. Better armor, sure. In this DLC they make it particularly easy, just go to a list of geographic spots and they give you flat upgrades for free. Good luck.

Lol, OP builds aren't required at all. Equip defensive talismans and stop going for raw damage your first playthrough if it's that painful.

I'm running through the DLC naked and haven't fought a boss more than 6 times. 11 scadooshes in. I'm not even good at the game.

Thats a really bad advice, im running heavy armor and at least 1 physical greatcrest all the time, you need to put up damage or bosses will outlast you.

However greatshield helps if you can squeeze it in your build, comparatively few things stagger from hitting it compared to base game but just hseer damage resistance and guard boost helps you tank many explosions.
