I feel this, I spent 6 hours in a single day trying to fight him, friend told me to rest for the day and come back the next and said he's seen people first try bosses this way, turns out he was right the very next day I first tried him but man I didn't like that second phase. First phase was totally fine and fun even. Second phase was cool at the start but really wore out it's welcome over those hours.
Am I.....am I doing it wrong?
Imagine beating him in just two tries, always avoiding the grab attack only to learn there is a unique gesture tied to getting grabbed twice, which you can't obtain anymore.
EDIT: nvm, I just read that you get it after the fight, no matter what. But it would have been such a fromsoft move to tie it to losing the fight this way.
You know you are lying, no you are not special, and no you cant prove anything unless you lived streamed it the day of release.
But i guess with their logic, I beat the boss before it was created. I'm that elite.
To answer OP's question: it feels ok I guess, but in reality I know that he just chose not to spam his insane-o moves over and over on the attempt that I killed him
I loved Messmer, Romina, Rellana, and most of the other bosses... even Bayle and his chonky glory was at least somewhat enjoyable... but Radahn is just... base game Radahn but moving faster... and it's boring. His design in the final phase(s) isn't even that good... he's just Radahn with Miquella taking a piggy back while everything goes 'holy palette color' mode.
Nothing about the fight is really all the unique or enjoyable... I would have preferred to have someone else as Miquellas consort... Godwyn, or someone else we've only known about but not seen...
HONESTLY... after doing the St. Trina questline I would have preferred if the DLC followed something with her... she was so cool and the colors they used for her encounter would have made a spectacle if the entire DLC was full of the same kind of color scheme.
i reached it with blessing level 16 and barely did anything to him, whent back to collect more fragments, came back with blessing level 19 and he went down in 2 try
