“The DLC is too hard” but the DLC has summons that people REFUSE to use simply because they “Bought the DLC for a challenge”

Yeah that's not the problem man.
First of all, some people have serious performance issues.
Second, compared to the base game the difficulty seems very artificial to justify the fragment mechanic.
Third, the zones are large but much emptier than the base game.

It's legitimate criticism, and it lowers the score for people who can look past fanboism. I love FromSoft games, but that doesn't mean I won't call out the problems.

This DLC rocks. I'm not overly fond of the scadutree mechanic, but just about everything else is goated. It feels like being a Diablo 2 player when Lord of Destruction came out.

I use ash summons and stuff and while I'm getting through the DLC (just beat messmer and the sunflower) the bosses are easily the worst part about the DLC. I love the new weapons and goals and caves and ♥♥♥♥ but all the bosses are unfun ♥♥♥♥.

ONLY the first zone feel large and empty but i have found near 100s of weapons and armors and talismans and cool store and there is near 40 bosses , i would NOT say its devoid of enough to do and see as you traverse,

the biggest issue is the performance i agree, but the difficulty is NOT artificial, it took me 4 hours to beat messmer but you know what? after that i could dodge EVERYTHING perfectly, i could literally predict all moves and dodge accordingly, which means it comes down to individual skills,
also the dlc has been speedrun in 1 hour,

the final boss have been beaten in 30 sec,

the dlc has been completed on ng+ 7 no hit and no scadu fragments, sure i cannot do it, but that shows that SKILL really does come into play, and the rest of ppl complaining refuse to play with training wheels on because, ''reasons''

Dailao, the difficulty is a way around the problem of how to make the DLC equals to everyone whether they are still just L100 or L500. So L500 players wont just breezes to the end and complain about not being challenging enough or that its just right for L500 but impossible for anyone below L250 etc.

I thought it was justified to make a different scaling and levelling system based on DLC areas alone, so its a level playing field for everyone. The game GET easier the more scadutree fragments you have collected to get higher blessings. Max is L20 Scadutree Blessings and L10 for Spirit Ashes.

The base game was fairly empty too, my dude.

It's called "negative space" and its way better than an Ubisoft/Marvel collectathon.
Noop Jun 24, 2024 @ 7:15am
Pretty sure people who bought the DLC for a challenge aren't the ones coming here to complain. They just beat the DLC.

Dude, several of the bosses are "misbegotten with different swords." Let's not pretend they didn't do the same thing they did with the base game and just spread the same amount of butter over more bread.

It's been three days.

Collectively, the community isn't "good" at the DLC yet and that's why there's so much complaining.

I remember how much people whined about Malenia when ER first launched. Fromsoft never touched her and the whining eventually stopped.

Because people got gud.

There are so many different ways to trivialize bosses that don't even involve summons too.

You can friggin heavy armor, fat roll tank Malenia if you don't quite have the dexterity needed for dodge strats for example.

=================================

So in time, the whining will stop because people will have actually put the time in and realized "oh, this actually isn't too terrible."

NO, it will never stop because of the Consort Radhan boss, its really very difficult, u have to go for loads of tries with summons and u still wont beat him, even with bleed.
