Found a Friendly Kindred of Rot in the DLC and I don't know if he holds any secrets?

Hidden by the cliff's edge behind the Church of the Crusade i found a weak and injured Kindred of Rot curled up shivering in pain on the floor. I couldn't find any way to talk to them like an npc, and i gave them a poke since they are normally an enemy to see if they would get up, only to see they were on pretty low HP and they just kept crying in pain on the floor. so with my heart in mind i chose to try and heal them, dont think my healing spell can effect them, but using a warming stone worked. after dropping a warming stone on them they had enough strength to sit up on their knees. there is still no dialog, i believe this is just a friendly Kindred. And i am going to lay revenge upon whichever boss hurt friendly kindred friend. to see if they have a special drop..... i dont have the heart to slay a friendly, be sure to say hi to him if you find him, and im only mentioning this in hopes somebody might discover a secret quest or interaction, maybe i should try go getting the kindred talisman or some item rot related to see if it lets me interact with them.

I saw that guy too. Lucky he was friendly because I totally fumbled my attacks against him. Jumping attack went over his head causing the camera to spin around. Over head slam hit the dirt. Backstep side sweep whizzed over his head. A second overhead slam whiffed. And while I was spazzing out the Kindred was just watching me like ÓmÓ

I kill every kindred of rot i see,friend or foe i do it as revenge from base game and the misery they caused me on my first playthrough.

I found one just digging, and I talked to him and got a recipe book. He's cool in my book.

Rest at a grace and go back to him. You will now have an option to talk to him, and he will give you a cookbook.
