but what i'm saying is that there is an easy mode. the problem is people not using it, not the game being hard. if you make your time hard, thats not the game's issue.
Its no shame use summons or fragments if you enjoy easier time. Explore world and find new things, buffs or other treasures.
Disagree. The exact reason people love DS and its successors is because the game encourages the player to learn and adapt. It's not the character that needs to learn a skill in the skill tree - the player should understand the problem and solve it accordingly. And DS games for example gave the player different options to do so - something was better, something was worse but at the end of the day every option was viable.
The balancing around summons just shuts this whole thing down. The game states that certain playstyles are not good enough and to succeed the player has to shut down bosses' AI. People can cope about the "tools given to the player" but disabling AI to stand back and shoot the boss in the back is not why this series is a phenomenon it became.
I also never understood why some people force their self-imposed rules on others and insult them for taking an easier or different approach.
Honestly just enjoy the game and ignore these clowns on the internet!
At the end of the day, spirit summons were put in as a way for casual scrub players to be able to beat any boss they want with ease. It takes away all the difficulty from the game which is exactly what a casual player that just wants to move on to the next boss wants. If you want to take out all the difficulty just to progress then go ahead, thats your prerogative, but dont get mad at others when they justifiably say that spirit summons are scrubby and takes all the fun and difficulty out, because that is just an objective fact.
Ooh, good perspective.
