some people like that gameplay style. thats like calling fighting games a saturated filter blocking sim, or fps games M2 + M1 Sims. you can boil it down to the base mechanics if youd like but its much more than the sum of its parts.

for me it is the options in builds.
I wanna play as a tank and counterattack only? I can do that.
I wanna be a mage who does ♥♥♥♥ ton of dmg with spells? i can be that too
I wanna be a thive who 1 shots enemies out of stealth? Unfortunately I didnt find a way to do that but most other Ideas I have I can do it :D

This is not a game for beginners, it is a game that allows you to surpass yourself and that does not hold your hand
This game has an exciting story, but you judge it when you've never played this game, go play CS, it's true, it's better

Also this I need to say. FS does amazing level design.
I think most things they do are ok, but where they excel is level design.... Especially legacy dungeons

i am curious to know
what makes it so good tho?
the world is ugly grey filtered , no color at all for the most part its like black and white
the game is all about learning the attack patterns and playing around it ( dodging simulator )
if you want to test your skills then why not play games like cs or valo or arma ?
