The armored wicker men are impossible to kill
I had only 8 of the hefty furnace pots. and they all did 0 damage to them despite me nearly throwing myself into the furnace itself to hit them square inside. I now have only 3 left that I feel like I shouldn't use since I cant craft them any more. The hefty fire pots only do 2k damage which inst enough to kill them before the endless fire spam kills me. and since their legs are invincible it feels like I missed my once chance to kill one, Is there any other way at all to kill them?

You gotta get a critical for damage. So stagger them

You need to throw the hefty fire pots into the furnace on top by being higher up, yeah.

There's a limited # of them, and it takes 3-4 to kill a forge golem.

I mean there are more than enough pots to kill them by the time you start encountering them. And you DON'T HAVE TO KILL THEM

Lies. Who plays a murder game and doesnt murder everything.

Anyway. I've killed both of the armoured leg ones ive encountered with 3 of the hefty pots each. Idk why yours arent doing damage unless you are on ground level with its feet or something

Wonder if the cannons work on them.

I was up on the platform above the spiritspring and my furnace pots did like 200 some odd damage a pop. Guessing they hit the face on accident but I churned through 4 and gave up because of the limited nature of the crafting mats

Ok. I have an update.

the secret is a "♥♥♥♥ it we ball" attitude. First is spend any runes you got, you will lose them anyways. get as many hefty fire pots as you can (furnace pots are not needed but im guessing they work better?). Get as much fire and non physical resistance talismans on as you can,

Pop your physick mix thats set up with crimsonwhorl and opaline and immediately get to high ground. use the horse to dodge the first volley which will also at the same time pull the wicker man/fire golem thing closer to you (its going to need to be as close to your high point as possible for this to work).

Then get as close as you can without jumping into it and just throw as many pots as you can even if you are being pelted with fire. If lucky you will start to interrupt its homing fire attack and it will die on the 4-5th pot throw. But be forewarned this could take up to 4 attempts before you survive long enough to kill it.

you don't need "Furnace" pots, regular Fire pots also damage them. And tor them you only need mushroms and Pyrefly, those are infinite

limited number of crafting mats? all you need to make the pots is the blackpyre butterflies and redflesh mushrooms, those are literally everywhere. if you dont have enough hefty pots you can literally go down crouch under the stone archway long enough to where the item crafting becomes available again and craft more. there are plenty of red mushrooms on your way to him and unlimitied blackpyre butterflies near messmer camps around the first bridge. its not hard to get them.

Some skills and spells can (could) go through leg armor. I killed mine with perfumes Roiling Sparks (before the nerf but still). However, you don't need FURNACE pots to damage them, use regular hefty fire pots (red mushrooms can be bought with Bell Bearing that is found by shooting a pot down west of entrance to Ellac River Cave, pyreflies can be farmed near Main Gate cross). They will deal a bit less dmg but are not finite since they do not require finite items. Furnace pots are required to animate shut down golems tho, so you better not waste them all
