There's a limited # of them, and it takes 3-4 to kill a forge golem.
OF COURSE THERE IS.
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you Miyazaki.
Anyway. I've killed both of the armoured leg ones ive encountered with 3 of the hefty pots each. Idk why yours arent doing damage unless you are on ground level with its feet or something
the secret is a "♥♥♥♥ it we ball" attitude. First is spend any runes you got, you will lose them anyways. get as many hefty fire pots as you can (furnace pots are not needed but im guessing they work better?). Get as much fire and non physical resistance talismans on as you can,
Pop your physick mix thats set up with crimsonwhorl and opaline and immediately get to high ground. use the horse to dodge the first volley which will also at the same time pull the wicker man/fire golem thing closer to you (its going to need to be as close to your high point as possible for this to work).
Then get as close as you can without jumping into it and just throw as many pots as you can even if you are being pelted with fire. If lucky you will start to interrupt its homing fire attack and it will die on the 4-5th pot throw. But be forewarned this could take up to 4 attempts before you survive long enough to kill it.
I was up on the platform above the spiritspring and my furnace pots did like 200 some odd damage a pop. Guessing they hit the face on accident but I churned through 4 and gave up because of the limited nature of the crafting mats
limited number of crafting mats? all you need to make the pots is the blackpyre butterflies and redflesh mushrooms, those are literally everywhere. if you dont have enough hefty pots you can literally go down crouch under the stone archway long enough to where the item crafting becomes available again and craft more. there are plenty of red mushrooms on your way to him and unlimitied blackpyre butterflies near messmer camps around the first bridge. its not hard to get them.
Sounds like a personal problem
